A little bit more about me

We understand that pursuing your dreams can come with its own set of worries and obstacles. That’s why we’re here not only to share inspiring stories but also to offer support for whatever concerns might be holding you back. Whether it’s about career transitions, personal doubts, or any other challenges, remember that myself and the entire community are here to help.

I have transformed from a programmer to a successful IT contractor, all while embracing new opportunities and challenges along the way.

A Humble Beginning as a Programmer:

I started my professional journey as a dedicated programmer, with a passion for technology and a hunger for knowledge. Those early days laid the foundation for my expertise in various programming languages, problem-solving skills, and an innate curiosity to explore the ever-evolving IT landscape.

Navigating the Storm of Redundancy:

Life took an unexpected turn when I faced redundancy. Instead of succumbing to the challenges, I saw this as an opportunity for growth. With resilience and determination, I decided to leverage my skills in a different way – by venturing into the world of IT contracting.

Seizing the Contractor Path:

Transitioning into the role of an IT contractor wasn’t always easy, but I embraced the flexibility and freedom it offered. As a contractor, I took on diverse projects that allowed me to use my skills across various domains and industries. This experience not only broadened my technical prowess but also fostered adaptability and an ability to thrive in dynamic work environments.

Embracing Better Benefits:

One of the driving factors behind the decision to become an IT contractor was the promise of better benefits. I explored various opportunities to secure more control over my work-life balance, income, and professional growth. Through determination, I managed to negotiate contracts that offered increased compensation, autonomy, and a sense of ownership over my projects.

From Speaker to Author:

I didn’t stop at IT contracting; I continued to push boundaries. I became a speaker at industry events, sharing my insights and experiences with fellow professionals, But that’s not all – I went a step further and authored a book (Who moved my servers?) capturing my journey from the very beginning, challenges, and lessons learned.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. I am more than willing to provide guidance based on my own 20+ years of experience. Let’s overcome obstacles together and continue our journey of growth and success.
